Crozier Fine Arts in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Crate Technician to join our Fabrication Team. You will manufacture individually designed wood crates for handling, packing and shipping fine art, antiques and artifacts.

Responsibilities include interpreting crate designs, working with internal teams to ensure safe transport, and maintaining strict shop safety standards. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities for growth within Iron Mountain’s Crozier division.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in crate shop or production carpentry.
• Familiar with table saws, band saws, pneumatic tools.
• Strong precision and attention to detail under pressure.
• Able to read production design drawings.
• Communicate effectively with clients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Process crate designs per specs and design paperwork.
• Collaborate with Art Handling and Logistics teams to ensure containers meet safe transport and storage requirements.
• Maintain shop safety standards and power tool safety requirements.
• Safely operate table saws, panel saws, pneumatic tools, and sprayers for adhesives, paints, lacquers.
• Prepare inner packing materials per detailed specifications.

Crozier Fine Arts is seeking a Crate Technician to join our Fabrication Team in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for the manufacturing of individually designed wood crates for the handling, packing, and shipping of fine art, antiques and artifacts.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Process crate designs according to specific technical specifications and design paperwork.
• Collaborate with internal Art Handling and Logistics teams to ensure all containers meet the requirements for safe transport and storage.
• Ensure compliance with general shop safety standards and recommended safety requirements for all power tools and equipment.
• Safely operate a variety of shop equipment, including table saws, panel saws, pneumatic tools, and sprayers for adhesives, paints, and lacquers.
• Prepare specialized inner packing materials, including insulation and cushioning foams, according to detailed specifications.

What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2-3 of experience in a crate shop and/or production carpentry environment.
• Strong knowledge of general shop safety and recommended safety requirements for a wide range of power and hand tools (e.g., table saws, band saws, pneumatic staplers, etc.).
• Proven ability in achieving excellent precision and strong attention to detail while working under pressure.
• The ability to read production design paperwork and effectively communicate with clients and coworkers.
• A self-motivated attitude and the ability to work as a team player while effectively conveying instructions.

• Pay: Starting at $27.00/hr (** Negotiations Depending on Experience ), Bi-Weekly Direct Deposit
• Shift: Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 3 PM

Reasonably expected salary range: $56,000.00 - $70,000.00
