Job summary

Lanco is seeking a Shop Helper to support technicians and the service team in the upkeep and repair of cranes and lifting equipment. You will assist with moving heavy components, setting up work areas, and performing basic tasks under supervision to keep jobs on schedule.

The role involves light driving, must be able to lift 50–75 lbs, work indoors and outdoors, and follow safety policies. A positive attitude and dependable work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and hand-tool knowledge is a plus.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and large components.
• Able to lift (e.g., 50–75 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willing to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good attitude, dependable, and able to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fueling, washing, and detailing cranes and service vehicles as directed.
• Help stage units and equipment for pickup, delivery, or field service.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Shop Foreman, Service Manager, or lead technicians.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and large components.
• Able to lift (e.g., 50–75 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willing to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Follow all shop safety policies, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout instructions.
