Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. in Hudson, CO is seeking a Crane Yard Technician to safely operate cranes and heavy equipment, perform inspections, and support daily yard operations.

This role focuses on equipment readiness, safety compliance, preventative maintenance, and efficient fleet movement, with duties including assembly/disassembly support, rigging assistance, and outdoor work in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience operating cranes or heavy equipment preferred.
• NCCCO certification (LBC/TLL) preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, forklifts, and haul equipment to load, unload, and move cranes and components.
• Perform on-rent and off-rent inspections and document equipment condition.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and basic mechanical repairs.
• Assist with crane assembly, disassembly, and configuration.
• Support rigging and proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain yard organization and equipment staging.
• Washing cranes as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.
• Identify and report equipment issues proactively.
• Support general yard duties and logistics as needed.
