Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. is seeking a skilled crane technician to repair, service, and maintain rough terrain, crawler, and mobile cranes, as well as forklifts.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanics knowledge in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems. Must have 1 year of hands-on crane equipment experience, be able to read schematics, lift up to 40 lbs, and be comfortable working evenings and weekends in a shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience repairing and maintaining rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane construction equipment.
• Perform annual certifications and inspections.
• Ability to perform tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Computer literate with the ability to process information.
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting equipment lines including Manitowoc, Grove, Terex, Tadano, Broderson, Kobelco, and Liebherr cranes.
• Must supply own hand tools and keep up-to-date tool inventory of service truck.
• Have a current valid driver's license along with a clean driving record.
• A high school diploma is required; vocational training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment, with a primary focus on service and repair of said equipment.
• Strong background in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems.
• Read schematics (both hydraulic and electrical).
• Able to lift, up to 40 lbs.
• Capable of performing competent inspections of all cranes.
• Will work evenings and weekends for crane repairs in the shop.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors and other personnel.
