Job summary

Port Houston is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain cranes at the Bayport site. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, service gearboxes, hydraulics, brakes, and related components, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, ability to read manuals and schematics, and willingness to work overtime as needed to meet port operations schedules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 4+ years related mechanic experience is required.
• 4+ years related electrical experience is required.
• Electrical Journeyman License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair cranes and related equipment.
• Inspect and maintain wharf and RTG cranes.
• Record work performed and materials used.
• Read blueprints and manuals to install or troubleshoot equipment.
• Communicate service timelines with Operations/Maintenance teams.
