Job summary

Port Houston is seeking a Manager, Port Cranes in Bayport to lead electromechanical maintenance and repair of STS and RTG cranes. You will drive preventative maintenance, safety, and reliability while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize crane performance.

The role requires extensive supervisory experience, a strong engineering or leadership-focused background, and a commitment to high safety standards and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with mechanical, electrical, or electronics focus or related leadership-focused business degree.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible STS/RTG crane maintenance supervision.
  • 10+ years of general supervisory experience in crane maintenance at ports or related facilities.
  • Budgeting and profit and loss management experience.
  • Certifications in leadership principles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a large team of craftsmen for STS/RTG crane maintenance and repair.
  • Ensure compliance with Port Houston policies and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate maintenance with internal and external stakeholders for efficiency.
  • Manage maintenance activities, records, and capital purchases.
  • Oversee environmental and safety compliance and drive continuous improvement.
