Job summary

Omega Morgan in Iowa City, IA, is seeking a Crane and Rigging Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day outdoor crane yard operations. You will lead yard personnel, coordinate safe movement, loading, unloading, staging, and inspection of cranes, rigging equipment, and related materials.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive rigging and lifting knowledge, and a solid understanding of logistics.

Qualifications

Experience in foreman, lead, or supervisory roles in crane/rigging/heavy equipment environments.
Strong knowledge of rigging and lifting operations.
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Experience with inventory management or equipment tracking systems.
Ability to safely perform physical tasks associated with heavy equipment operation.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and coordinate daily activities of crane and rigging personnel.
Plan and prioritize outdoor operations to ensure equipment and materials are staged and available when needed.
Oversee safe loading, unloading, movement, and storage of customer equipment, cranes, rigging equipment, and other materials.
Apply strong working knowledge of rigging, lifting practices, load handling, and rigging equipment.
Ensure rigging equipment and other materials are properly inspected, maintained, tagged, stored, and organized.
