Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. in Houston seeks a motivated crane operator to ensure safety standards, achieve daily productivity goals, perform routine maintenance, and assist with non-routine maintenance.

You will move steel using a forklift, overhead crane and other equipment while following safe methods and collaborating with a team. Reading work orders and basic math are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine material or equipment needs.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills.
• Perform intermediate math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Meet or exceed productivity levels.
• Plan and organize work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work at all times and report unsafe conditions.
• Move steel to/from storage or production areas using forklift, overhead crane or other equipment.
• Attach slings, hooks or devices to lift material and guide loads.
• Lift up to 25-40 pounds; work outdoors in all weather.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and coordinate with others.
