Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. seeks a reliable Crane Operator at our Beshert branch to safely move steel, set loads, and support maintenance with daily productivity and quality standards.

You will follow safety methods, use equipment from forklift to overhead crane, and communicate across departments to ensure efficient, hazard-free operations in varied indoor/outdoor conditions. This role requires physical stamina, adherence to PPE, and readiness to participate in safety meetings and routine

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders or take verbal instructions.
• Meet or exceed minimum productivity levels.
• Plan and organize work with or without supervision.
• Develop working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques.
• Maintain inter-department communications on routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate basic math skills.
• May demonstrate strong customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work and report unsafe conditions.
• Move steel using equipment and secure loads, tie down and guide loads.
• Lift up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet, in all weather conditions.
• Apply proper bundling techniques.
• Configure load based on planned route with multiple stops.
• Maximize load capacity on trailers while maintaining safety.
• Operate tools and equipment; use PPE as required.
• Determine safety issues pertaining to equipment and report them.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions.
• Maintain spatial awareness and navigate around moving objects.
• Attend required company meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.
