Job summary

You will perform rigging inspections, read indicators, follow verbal and hand commands, and maintain safe operation throughout all phases of each lift. The role requires physical readiness, tool proficiency, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management.
• Proficient in safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools, layout tools and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate crane to lift and move materials and objects.
• Plan lifts and assume responsibility for safety during setup, operation, and capacity use.
• Perform rigging and daily equipment inspections.
• Respond to hand and verbal commands from rigger or helpers.
• Monitor load travel and act to prevent injuries or damage.
• Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities and determine time, costs, resources.
• Inspect subordinate's work for contract compliance and address deficiencies.
