Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil in Shreveport, LA, seeks an experienced crane operator to lift and position materials at heavy civil construction sites. You will operate multiple crane types, perform safety checks, interpret load charts, and maintain logs while coordinating with ground crews and supervisors.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of crane operation experience, NCCCO certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• NCCCO certification for crane types (e.g., lattice, telescopic) is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of verifiable crane operating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic, lattice boom, and other cranes per safety regulations.
• Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on crane equipment.
• Read and apply load charts and lift plans for safe material handling.
• Communicate with ground crew using hand signals/radios and follow signals.
• Maintain daily logs of operations, maintenance, and safety inspections.
• Rig loads securely and assist with other site duties as needed.
