Must hold current NCCCO certification. Safely operating various types of cranes for steel erection, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and performing tasks like lifting and moving materials on construction sites.

• Safe Crane Operation: Operate cranes according to signals from helpers, manipulating controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
• Load Handling: Understand and interpret crane load charts to determine safe lifting capacities.
• Rigging and Lift Planning: Assist with rigging and lift planning, ensuring safe and efficient lifting operations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform inspections and daily maintenance of cranes to ensure they are in safe working order.
• Site Safety: Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of crane operations and inspections.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot minor issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure smooth crane operation.
• Assembling/Disassembling: May be required to assemble, disassemble, and transport cranes.
