Job summary

Maxim is seeking a qualified Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair crane systems across body, engines and electrical or computer subsystems. You will work on booms, electrical, hydraulic, brakes and related components, plus operate cranes and related equipment.

The role requires extensive mechanical experience with cranes, ability to read blueprints, and the skill to fabricate or install parts. Safety checks and compliance with OEM specs are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret instructions and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical and hydraulic systems, brakes and related components.
• Operate hoists, forklifts, and hand trucks to move heavy material and equipment.
• Inspect machines to diagnose defects and determine required repairs.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure performance and compliance with specs.
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Read operating manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Fabricate, modify and install replacement parts using specialty tools.
• Inspect parts for wear using micrometers and gauges.
• Repair, rewire and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Repair and replace worn parts on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
