Job summary

Maxim Crane Works, L.P. is seeking an experienced crane mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair crane systems across diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems. You will work on cranes, boom trucks, trailers, and more at multiple sites.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years crane-specific mechanical experience, 3+ years on diesel, gas, and propane engines, strong blueprint interpretation, and a CDL is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; associate degree preferred.
• Associates or vocational degree is preferred for advanced crane work.
• CDL is required or preferred for job duties and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel engines and crane components.
• Operate hoists, forklifts, and hand trucks to move heavy equipment.
• Inspect machines to diagnose defects and plan repairs.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure proper performance per specs.
• Clean, lubricate and conduct routine maintenance on machines and vehicles.
• Read manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide work.
• Fabricate and install replacement parts using specialty tools.
• Repair electrical systems and worn/damaged components.
