Job summary

MMS is seeking a mechanically inclined Facilities Maintenance Technician I – Crane Technician for the 2nd shift in East Peoria, IL. Workdays are Monday–Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with overtime availability and competitive pay of $20-$24 per hour DOE plus shift differential.

This role focuses on preventive maintenance and basic repairs on overhead cranes in a manufacturing setting, not crane operation. If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work and learning new skills, apply today.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Dependable with excellent attendance.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights when required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or industrial equipment is a plus.
• Previous maintenance experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventive maintenance (PMs) on overhead cranes
• Inspecting crane components for wear and potential issues
• Assisting with mechanical repairs and troubleshooting
• Using hand and power tools to complete maintenance tasks
• Documenting completed work in the maintenance system
• Working alongside experienced technicians while continuing to grow your skills
• Following all safety procedures and keeping your work area clean
