Job summary

Maxim Crane Supply in Boise, Idaho, is seeking an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain cranes and related fleet in our shop. You will inspect diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, fabricate parts as needed, and test to OEM specs.

A strong hands-on background with 5+ years crane experience is preferred; candidates should demonstrate safety-minded work practices and the ability to work across multiple heavy systems with precision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience with cranes or heavy equipment.
• Crane background required (Liebherr, Tadano, Manitowoc preferred).
• Experience with diesel, gasoline, and propane engines is valued.

Responsibilities

• Full-scope inspections and diagnosis of cranes and heavy equipment to pinpoint defects and determine repairs.
• Preventative and corrective maintenance of diesel engines, booms, hydraulic, electrical, and braking systems.
• Operate hoists, forklifts, and hand trucks to move and assemble components safely.
