Central Contractors Service in Alsip, IL is seeking a Crane and Heavy Duty Truck Dispatcher & Logistics Coordinator to supervise crane operators and tractor-trailer drivers, coordinate equipment deliveries, and ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations. Qualifications

• Experience in trucking and dispatch functions.
• Knowledge of the permitting process for oversize loads.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed.
• Able to sit for long periods and use a phone, computer and other office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and supervision to crane operators, tractor-trailer drivers and support personnel.
• Supervises subordinate employees: orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline; communicate job expectations; plan and appraise contributions; follow policies.
• They keep records, logs, and schedules of calls and/or vehicle movements and actions.
• Ensure on-time delivery of cranes and equipment to job sites.
• Maintain correct files for Safety compliance, DOT/FMCSA regulations and Insurance requirements.
• Secure permits, escorts, and flagmen.
• Ensure company drivers comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety policies.
• Address problems by transmitting information or providing solutions.
• Monitor route/status of field units to coordinate schedules.
• Coordinate with Sales to ensure proper equipment delivery.
• Submit billing and payroll information to other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
