Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. is seeking trained crane mechanics to support our expansive fleet.

The role focuses on repairing and maintaining medium and light-duty vehicles and yard equipment, emphasizing electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems. Applicants should have 3+ years of relevant experience, be able to read schematics, keep detailed maintenance records, and be willing to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining medium and light-duty pickups with gas and diesel engines.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Computer literate and able to process information.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality.
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting various makes/models of medium and light-duty vehicles.
• History of safe work habits.
• Hard worker with a great attitude.
• Must supply own hand tools and keep up-to-date tool inventory.
• Able to drive a company vehicle and have a clean driving record.
• High school diploma required; higher education including vocational training is a plus.
• Must keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs including daily service reports.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining medium and light-duty vehicles and yard equipment with emphasis on service and repair.
• Strong background in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems.
• Availability for evenings and weekends for shop repairs.
• Willing to make service calls to aid incapacitated vehicles away from the shop.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and personnel.
• Read schematics and perform competent inspections of all vehicles and small equipment.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
