Job summary

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) in Aiken, SC seeks a DWPF Crane First Line Manager to direct safe, efficient facility operations at the Defense Waste Processing Facility. The FLM will lead crane activities, ensure compliance, and coordinate maintenance and emergencies with disciplined oversight.

Qualified candidates typically hold a related technical degree or higher and at least 3 years in nuclear operations, with proven supervisory experience on complex process equipment and strict

Qualifications

• 3+ years Nuclear experience.
• Education as listed: Diploma/Associate/Bachelors as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supervises operator activities associated with MPC and in-cell crane activities 221S, 511S, 512s and canister movements.
• Plans and coordinates work involving production and support groups.
• Reviews and approves all lockout / tagout plans for hazardous energy control and canyon tagouts which affect the facility.
• Ensures facility activities are within licenses and permits and conducted per procedures and standards; has authority to shut down the facility if needed.
• Directs start of maintenance, operations, construction, tests and surveillance activities.
• Ensures operators are trained and qualified and fit for duty.
• Communicates with support organizations to start/complete activities as scheduled.
• Performs investigations of abnormal events and directs emergency operations.
• Maintains logs/records of operating events per procedures.
