Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) seeks an Operations Shift Technical Advisor to provide technical expertise and real-time decision support for the Shift Manager and operations team at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. The role emphasizes safety-basis compliance, technical guidance, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications include a engineering degree or equivalent, with SRSC/DOE-related control room qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant experience, or equivalent combinations.
• High School Diploma with relevant experience or education.
• SRS Control Room Manager qualification or SRS First Line Manager Operations qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical advice and decision support to the Shift Manager during facility operations.
• Monitors facility conditions, alarms, and process parameters; takes action to resolve issues.
• Evaluates technical information and recommends operational actions.
• Identifies conditions affecting safety, reliability, or mission operations.
• Maintains awareness of facility configuration and major shift activities.
• Interprets DSA, TSRs, LCOs, and other controls; ensures proper implementation.
• Advises on safety-limit approaches and potential LCO entries.
• Performs safety basis reviews and manages documentation.
• Provides input on USQs and configuration changes.
• Delivers briefings and Safety Basis training; oversees impact evaluations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

High School Diploma with relevant experience

SRS Control Room Manager qualified

SRS First Line Manager Operations qualified
