Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to repair and maintain rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment, plus forklifts. The role requires 3–5 years of experience, strong electrical, hydraulic, and drive-train knowledge, and the ability to read schematics.

Travel is required, including overnight stays, and you will work on customer sites with on-site safety and quality emphasis.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience repairing and maintaining crane equipment.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Must supply own hand tools and maintain inventory.
• Able to travel and work on customer sites, nights/weekends.
• High school diploma required; higher education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain rough terrain, crawler, and mobile cranes and forklifts.
• Perform annual inspections and certifications.
• Respond to crane breakdowns at customer sites, including on-call nights/weekends.
• Communicate clearly with customers and supervisors.
• Travel on short notice; operate service truck with company resources.
