Job summary

Wolter, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Manager-Cranes at our Huber Heights location to lead a team of crane technicians and senior technicians.

The role oversees day-to-day crane field service operations, dispatching staff to customer sites based on priority, skill, and location, and coordinating a full range of service calls. You will ensure work adheres to manufacturer specs and safety policies while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in crane, heavy equipment, or industrial equipment service.
• Prior supervisory or management experience in a field service environment.
• Strong knowledge of crane mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Working knowledge of crane inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, service literature, and parts information.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the crane field service department.
• Lead, supervise, schedule, and support crane technicians.
• Dispatch technicians to customer locations based on priority, technician skill level, geographic location, and equipment requirements.
• Coordinate emergency, scheduled, preventive, and warranty service calls.
• Monitor service requests from initial customer contact through completion and invoicing.
• Communicate with customers regarding equipment issues, repair recommendations, scheduling, and service status.
• Review estimates and quotes for field repairs and communicate pricing and scope of work to customers as appropriate.
• Participate in hiring, training, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions for field service personnel.
