Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Mesa, AZ is hiring an Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging in-store events, including children’s birthdays and craft classes. You will work with customers, guide activities, and oversee event setup and teardown to ensure a fun and safe experience.

Responsibilities include client communication, coordinating with store teams, processing follow-ups, and adapting plans to meet customer needs while maintaining brand standards and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects and activities.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Answer emails, make phone calls, and complete paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
