Job summary

Michaels in DeKalb, IL is seeking an enthusiastic team member to coordinate events and enhance the customer experience. You will plan and run children’s parties, assist shoppers, and support checkout and rewards enrollment, while upholding store standards and safety policies.

Responsibilities include stock/merchandising tasks, back-office communication, and contributing to a positive, welcoming environment for guests of all ages. Flexible hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Experience with children’s events preferred.
• Excellent people skills with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events in-store, including children’s parties.
• Assist customers and help them shop and find products.
• Execute fast, friendly checkout and rewards enrollment.
• Unload trucks, stock merchandise, and maintain planograms.
• Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and SOP compliance.
• Assist with omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS).
