Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children's parties and craft classes, delivering a FUN, safe, and engaging guest experience.

You will assist customers, guide them to products, manage checkout, support omnichannel processes, and work with teammates to uphold store standards, cleanliness, and brand promises.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Experience coordinating events or activities with children.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events including children’s parties.
• Greet customers and assist with shopping, checkouts, and program enrollments.
• Coordinate with store team, manage emails and calls, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Support omnichannel processes such as BOPIS/SFS and upsell Rewards/Private Label Credit Cards.
• Uphold SOPs and company policies; adapt plans based on client feedback.
