Job summary

Michaels Charleston - West Ashley is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run kids parties and in-store events, ensuring a fun, safe, and engaging experience for guests. You will drive customer satisfaction through friendly service, smooth event execution, and effective communication with store teams.

Role involves coordinating party add-ons, guiding participants through crafts, and maintaining store standards during events. Prior event or retail/customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at a Michaels store, including kids parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers of all ages, creating a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and guide participants through craft projects, including face painting and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
• Handle admin tasks: emails, calls, and paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and store needs.
• Ensure events align with cleanliness and safety standards.
