Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Little Rock, AR is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run multiple store events, including children’s birthday parties, craft classes and other activities, delivering a fun, creative experience for guests while upholding brand standards.

You will assist customers, manage checkout flows, coordinate communications with clients and team, handle event add-ons, and perform store duties such as stocking, cleaning, and safety compliance.

• Experience working with children and running kids' events is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Retail or customer service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once (e.g., children’s birthday parties, craft classes).
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts and activities; lead face painting as needed.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) per company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; handle emails/phone calls as needed.
• Assist with omni-channel processes (BOPIS, Ship From Store) and store duties.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; ensure proper setup and breakdown of events.
