Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Party & Event Host to plan and coordinate engaging in-store events, including children’s birthday parties. You will provide friendly customer service, help guests locate products, and support store operations to ensure a memorable shopping experience.

You will lead craft activities, upsell rewards programs, and participate in stock and safety tasks while maintaining high energy and a customer-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events
• Excellent people skills and strong communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons
• Communicate events with clients and store team members
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails and calls
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS and SFS) and stock/POG duties
• Support store cleanliness, safety, and SOP adherence
• Interact positively with guests and co-workers to reflect Michaels’ values
