Job summary

BLU-Tique Hotel in Akron, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is seeking a part-time Bartender to serve patrons at the front bar and fulfill dining room drink orders. Responsibilities include inventory checks and maintaining a well-stocked bar to ensure a smooth guest experience in a historic hotel setting.

The ideal candidate has bartender experience, can pass a standard bar knowledge test, and may bring cocktail crafting skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Previous bartender experience required.
• Must be able to pass a standard bar knowledge test prior to employment.
• Previous experience creating crafted cocktails preferred.
• Fine dining experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and hotel patrons.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
