Job summary

Cleveland Metroparks seeks a bartender to provide friendly, efficient service and accurately craft beverages for guests and servers. You will greet guests, take orders, mix cocktails to standards, verify IDs, process payments, and keep the bar well stocked and clean.

You will also guide guests on park activities and promotions, collaborate with the Bar Manager on inventory, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all patrons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior bartending experience is required.
• Must be age 21 or older and complete Serve-Safe after hire.
• Knowledge in cocktails and drink recipes.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and takes beverage orders.
• Mixes drinks and bar beverages per standards.
• Checks IDs to verify age requirements for alcohol.
• Collects payment and follows cash handling procedures.
• Maintains bar inventory and coordinates with Bar Manager for supplies.
• Serves snacks when appropriate and stays knowledgeable about menus/promotions.
• Maintains a clean, safe bar area and assists with opening/closing duties.
• Provides information about Cleveland Metroparks activities to guests.
