Job summary

Hotel Investment Services is seeking a friendly, dependable Part-Time Bartender to prepare and serve beverages while creating a welcoming experience for guests. The ideal candidate will work well in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, and follow responsible alcohol-service and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending or beverage-service experience preferred; training may be available.
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol-service practices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; basic math.
• Legal age to serve alcohol in the work location; beverage-service certification required if available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes, portion standards, and guest preferences.
• Set up and tear down of bars as needed.
• Greet guests, take accurate orders, and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
• Verify identification and follow alcohol-service laws and company policies.
• Process cash and card transactions using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
• Assist with event set and teardown.
• Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to ensure timely service.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned.
