Job summary

Soho House Chicago is seeking a Bartender to craft cocktails, serve food, and deliver memorable service to guests and members visiting a Soho House & Co. property.

As part of the team you will greet guests, remember preferences, upsell items, educate on beverages, manage inventory and maintain a clean, efficient bar while upholding the brand standards. The role requires 2+ years in a high-volume F&B operation, craft cocktail experience, strong communication, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a high-volume F&B operation.
• Craft cocktail experience with seasonally influenced perishable items.
• Experience making coffee drinks is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and deliver drink requests efficiently while maintaining consistency.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Flexible schedule and reliable.
• Tips certification.
• Micros is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow steps of service and guidelines for preparing cocktails, juices, coffee and drinks used at the bar.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area and assist teammates in washing glassware and utensils.
• Educate guests and members about beverage options learned through House Tonic trainings.
• Describe daily specials and seasonal menu items to promote sales and enhance the dining experience.
• Collect payment and operate a cash register.
• Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age and monitor alcohol consumption.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays and boost sales.
• Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Monitor and replenish bar supplies and coordinate with Barbacks.
• Mix ingredients according to recipes to maintain a unified beverage program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
