Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Weston seeks a courteous bartender/server to greet guests, mix drinks, prepare beverages, and process room-service orders at the lounge. You will maintain bar stock, handle cash, and ensure accurate vouchers and guest checks.

Responsibilities include adhering to liquor regulations, following safety procedures, and delivering prompt, friendly service to guests throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
• Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, and vouchers.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks.
• Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and prudent portion control.
• Maintains proper bar setup and stock based on projections from daily functions sheet.
• Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies charges, and balances money.
• Inputs orders into POS, creates checks for guests and personnel, maintains accountability of beverages served.
• Performs general cleaning tasks and adheres to health standards.
• Follows safety and security procedures and reports unsafe conditions.
