21c Museum Hotels in Durham, NC is seeking a Bartender to deliver timely, accurate, and friendly beverage service while upholding high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include following service steps, crafting drinks to recipe standards, knowing menu items, managing stock, verifying 21+ guests, and maintaining bar cleanliness and flow of service. This role requires flexible hours and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
• Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends).
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c.

Responsabilités

• Follows all steps of service.
• Provides superior service behind the bar by preparing drinks according to recipe standards.
• Knows drink names, ingredients, method of preparation, appropriate glassware, and garnishes.
• Knows all wines by the glass and at least five wines in each category on the wine list in varying price ranges and styles.
• Knows specialty beverages and beer lists.
• Ensures all stock is up to par levels.
• Completes daily inventory and informs servers/managers/bar back of changes.
• Verifies all guests are at least 21 years of age.
• Maintains smooth flow of service between bar and server requests.
• Completes all side work as outlined in the manual.
• Maintains a positive, friendly attitude with co-workers and guests.
