Citizens in Johnston, RI is hiring CRA Loan Officers who build a network of realtors, builders and professionals to drive mortgage opportunities. You will interview customers, explain products, and complete mortgage applications while meeting sales goals.

This role emphasizes CRA eligibility, community development, and education for LMI branches. The position offers a base salary plus commission, comprehensive benefits, and involvement in housing events and community programs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in residential mortgage sales preferred.
• Three plus years of retail residential mortgage sales experience.
• Documented residential mortgage loan volume in the past 12 months of $12 million (minimum).
• Established relationships with local referral networks.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a variety of audiences.
• Strong computer skills and experience utilizing laptop technology.
• Successful candidate must meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 55% of your overall business as CRA eligible and create 8 preapprovals/prequals per month.
• Conduct 12 homebuyer seminars per year in designated MSA’s and report out on referrals from those organizations; the PSM should attend 6 seminars a year with CRA LO.
• Conduct and participate in mortgage lunch and learn. 1 per month.
• Work with Low and Moderate income (LMI) branches in their MSA to educate on CRA mortgage products to generate referrals ( if you are assigned branches).
• Work closely with the Community Development Market manager in your market to participate in CRA related events (Housing Fairs, etc).
• Volunteer to be on a Board or committee of a not for profit.
• Schedule on call days with Community Development Market managers (CDMMs) 1 per quarter.
