Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Physical Electrical Analysis Engineer to drive electrical analyses at block and top levels. You will work with PI teams to optimize Power Distribution Network performance and verify electrical properties across SOC blocks. Location flexibility includes Santa Clara or Austin.

The role requires deep expertise in EMIR tools, PDN development, and advanced scripting in TCL/Perl/Python, with strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical analyses at both block and top levels, including static and dynamic IR assessment, power/signal electromigration (EM) analysis, and ESD evaluations.
• Ensure thorough verification of electrical properties at block and top levels.
• Develop power grid specifications aligned with PDN objectives and implement these grids using industry-standard PnR tools.
• Collaborate with the PI team to enhance PDN performance.
