Job summary

Baltimore County Government is seeking a Family Services Assistant/Family Support Worker to assist Social Workers in delivering Out of Home Intensive services for foster children.

The position is a non-merit, part-time role with 34 hours per week, requiring a high school diploma and experience in human services. Responsibilities include supporting visits, teaching parenting skills, and preparing case documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in human services preferred.
• Ability to work with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and/or parents safely to appointments to provide needed services.
• Supervise family visitations to ensure child safety and guide parents to strengthen relationships.
• Teach parenting and life skills to improve family functioning and budgeting.
• Prepare case notes and documentation within 72 hours and monthly updates.
