HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION in Bryan, TX seeks a Conservatorship Worker I–IV to manage CPS cases, ensure child welfare, and coordinate permanency planning. The role requires collaboration with families, legal parties, and kinship providers to secure safe, permanent outcomes for children.

New hires may qualify for higher pay with a Master’s in Social Work; the position emphasizes mobility, court involvement, and strong case management across a mobile unit.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development, family dynamics and protective services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel if required and work irregular hours.
• Experience in social/human or protective services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive cases from investigators when children are placed in CPS conservatorship.
• Identify child needs and ensure referrals for tests, records, and services.
• Collaborate with families and kinship resources to plan permanency.
• Support court readiness through documentation and testimony as needed.
