Job summary

Rotech Healthcare is seeking a dedicated PAP Specialist to set up CPAP/BiPAP equipment and educate patients. The role may operate in states where a licensed Respiratory Therapist is not required, supporting home healthcare services.

You will work with clinical teams to ensure proper equipment use, adherence, and documentation in EMR systems, while maintaining inventory and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet state-specific requirements for non-licensed PAP setup personnel.
• Background check may be required; drug screen where applicable.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with clean driving record where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Set up CPAP, BiPAP, and related equipment for patients per protocols and guidelines.
• Educate patients on equipment use, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Conduct mask fittings; troubleshoot comfort or compliance issues.
• Document patient interactions and setup details in EMR.
• Coordinate with clinical teams and customer service for timely delivery and setup.
• Monitor patient compliance data and report concerns to clinical leadership.
• Maintain inventory of PAP supplies and ensure equipment readiness.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered service in all interactions.
