Quest Group Executive Search and Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Controller/Accounting Manager in Orlando to lead accounting and financial reporting. The role combines hands-on work with leadership to ensure timely closes, accurate reporting, and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with deep technical accounting experience, preferably in regulated financial environments, and capable of guiding the accounting function while performing essential accounting duties.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong experience with monthly close and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing quarterly regulatory/state filings.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages with statements, variance analysis, and key metrics.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial statements.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and other month-end activities.
• Analyze financial results and communicate trends, variances, and issues to senior leadership.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and advisors as needed.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff with a hands-on approach.
