Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting and financial operations.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Support multi-entity or plant-level reporting and consolidations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Partner with leadership to improve financial performance and reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax professionals.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.

Our client, a growing mid-sized company in West Palm Beach, is looking for a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting function. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys partnering with leadership, improving processes, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities or locations.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid accounting foundation, and experience managing month-end close, general ledger activities, and financial reporting in a multi-entity or manufacturing/plant environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all day-to-day accounting and financial operations
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
• Oversee general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports
• Support multi-entity and/or plant-level reporting and consolidations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and reporting accuracy
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Coordinate audits and work closely with external auditors and tax professionals
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end close
• Experience with multi-entity, manufacturing, distribution, or plant accounting environments preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
