Cox Enterprises is hiring a Waste & Circularity Intern to join our team. The intern will assist with executing Cox’s sustainability strategy, work with Cox Conserves colleagues, and help develop projects that reduce environmental impact across operations.

Responsibilities include data collection and analysis for reporting, secondary research on best practices, and collaborating with internal partners to implement scalable sustainability programs in a fast-growing company.

Cox Enterprises is hiring a Waste & Circularity Intern to join our team! The Waste & Circularity Intern will work closely with Cox Conserves team members and others across the organization to support enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives. The intern will assist with executing Cox’s multifaceted sustainability strategy, including working with internal and external partners to develop and implement projects that reduce the overall environmental impact of our operations, facilitating data collection and analysis efforts for enterprise and business unit reporting, and researching scalable sustainability management practices for complex organizations experiencing rapid new growth.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications Required

• Passion for environmental sustainability and resource conservation
• Understanding of organizational sustainability practices
• Familiarity with sustainability management principles

Preferred

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field
• Experience with Microsoft 365 apps and services such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and geospatial software LEED, ISSP, or similar certifications

• Proven critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve

Working Conditions

This role may require up to 5-15% travel to various business locations and external engagements.
