Delta County Colorado seeks a vigilant security professional to protect the Courthouse, Detention Facility, and county buildings. The role includes opening the building, screening with Magnascanner and wand, and preventing entry of weapons or contraband.

You will patrol exterior areas, oversee courtroom security, and assist transport officers when needed. Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid Colorado Driver’s License, and Peace Officer certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Colorado Driver’s License (current and valid).
• Colorado Certified Peace Officer Certification (required).
• Working knowledge of security planning for judicial facilities and ability to manage threats.

Responsabilités

• Open building at start of day and conduct security checks.
• Provide front door security using Magnascanner, hand wand, and physical examinations of hand carried articles and/or suspicious persons.
• Check for weapons and contraband to prevent entry into the building.
• Maintain security throughout the Courthouse and provide roving outside security.
• Assist transport officers in returning inmates to jail as needed.
• Patrol secure areas of the building and respond to alarms and security requests.
