Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries at checkout efficiently, aiming for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging using various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers about grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
• Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash collection inside the store and parking lot, and cleaning all store areas.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Comply with safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues to management.
• Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by engaging with customers and answering questions about products.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
