Responsibilities:
- Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are undamaged.
- Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
- Assist in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.
- Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
- Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
- Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash collection inside and outside the store.
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
- Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
- Reinforce safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflicts in a non-confrontational manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
- Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
