Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts at checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers about grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather shopping carts.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash collection, and store and parking lot cleaning.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting repairs as needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions and providing assistance.
• Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts effectively.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
