Responsibilities include:

• Bagging groceries at check out for customers, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Following best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
• Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
• Informing customers of grocery specials and returning merchandise to store shelves.
• Gathering bascarts and returning them to designated areas.
• Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Handling and assembling seasonal merchandise.
• Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforcing safety programs, complying with safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.
• Creating a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions about products.
• Following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
