Responsibilities of the Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger include:

• Bagging groceries efficiently while protecting items and striving to bag at least five items per bag.
• Following best practices for different types of bags.
• Assisting with removing merchandise from carts for checkout.
• Offering to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
• Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Informing customers about grocery specials and returning merchandise to shelves.
• Gathering and returning shopping carts.
• Maintaining cleanliness inside the store and parking lot, including spills and trash.
• Cleaning all store areas inside and outside.
• Handling seasonal merchandise and assisting with store layout and product location.
• Supporting safety programs and adhering to safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
• Following all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Creating a welcoming environment and assisting customers with questions.
• Complying with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Following directions and seeking help when needed to resolve issues.
