Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.
• Clean spills, collect trash inside store and parking lot, and maintain cleanliness.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment, report repairs needed, and practice preventive maintenance.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer questions, and support customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Follow all legal and company guidelines and work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
