Join us as a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger at Kroger Mountain View Foods

We are looking for friendly and dedicated individuals to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Your role will involve establishing and maintaining a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return. Demonstrate our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Responsibilities

1. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are undamaged.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
7. Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
8. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and cleaning all areas inside and outside the store.
9. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
10. Reinforce safety programs and comply with safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
11. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
12. Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of equipment issues.
13. Create a welcoming environment, answering customer questions about products.
14. Follow all local, state, and federal laws, and company policies.
15. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
16. Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
17. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
18. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
19. Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
20. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
